Einführung:
Farblose hexagonale Plättchenkristalle oder weißes Pulver. Löslich in Wasser, unlöslich in Alkohol. Beim Erhitzen auf 140 °C verliert es Kristallwasser und wird wasserfrei. Es absorbiert Kohlendioxid in der Luft und wird zu Natriumcarbonat und Zinn(IV)-hydroxid.
Verwendungen:
Es wird hauptsächlich in der alkalischen Verzinnung, Verkupferung und Zinn-Aluminium-Legierungs-Galvanisierung in der Galvanikindustrie verwendet. Es wird als Flammschutzmittel und Beschwerungsmittel in der Textilindustrie eingesetzt. Es wird als Beize in der Farbstoffindustrie verwendet. Es wird auch in der Glas-, Keramik- und anderen Industrien verwendet.
