水溶性エオシンYは、化学的に合成された酸性色素で、水中で負に帯電したアニオンに解離し、タンパク質の塩基性アミノ基の正に帯電したカチオンと結合して細胞質を染色します。細胞質、赤血球、筋肉、結合組織、好酸球顆粒などが、赤色またはピンク色に様々な程度に染色され、青色の細胞核と鮮やかなコントラストを形成します。
用途:
メチルオレンジは、一般的に使用される酸塩基指示薬であり、強還元剤および強酸化剤用の変色指示薬、細胞質指示薬、組織学的対比染色剤、花粉管染色剤です。pH変色範囲は3.1（赤）-4.4（黄）であり、ほとんどの鉱酸、強塩基、および水のアルカリ度を決定するために使用できます。メチルオレンジは、スズ（熱時Sn2+、Chemicalbook）の容量分析に使用できます。強還元剤（Ti3+、Cr2+）および強酸化剤（塩素、臭素）用の変色指示薬です。塩素、臭素、臭化物イオンの分光光度測定に使用できます。インジゴジスルホン酸ナトリウムまたはブロムクレゾールグリーンと混合指示薬を形成して、変色範囲を短縮し、変色の鮮明度を向上させることができます。レドックス指示薬であり、三価ヒ素またはアンチモンの臭素酸カリウム滴定などに使用されます。
