Undecylenoylphenylalanine (MoreWhiteUP) is a white powder. It is a structural analog of α-MSH. It competitively binds to the melanin-stimulating hormone receptor MC1-R on melanocytes, preventing them from producing tyrosinase. This inhibits melanocyte activity and reduces melanin production. Clinical trials have shown that Undecylenoylphenylalanine (MoreWhiteUP) can indeed reduce spots caused by hyperpigmentation.
