The pure product is white crystals, with a melting point of 302-307℃ (decomposition), a density of about 1.45, and a vapor pressure of 0.09mPa at 20℃. At 24℃, the solubility in water is 29mg/L at pH=4, 8mg/L at pH=7, and 7mg/L at pH=8. Solubility in organic solvents: 300mg/L in ethanol, 5g/L dimethylformamide, 36mg/L in benzene,  100mg/L in chloroform, and 68mg/L in dichloromethane. Stability: Decomposes at the melting point temperature, can be placed for at least two years below 50℃, and is stable for 7 days under 20000lux light; hydrolysis (22℃) DT50>350 days (pH5 and pH7), 124 days (pH9), salts in acid, and DT50 in soil is about 1 to 5 months. It is soluble in dilute inorganic and organic acids to form corresponding salts. It decomposes slowly in alkaline solutions. The original powder is light gray powder. If stored in a cool and dry place for two years, the content of active ingredients remains basically unchanged and it is relatively stable to heat.

Carbendazim is a highly effective, low-toxic, broad-spectrum, systemic fungicide with a long lasting effect. It is effective against many ascomycetes, deuteromycetes and various basidiomycetes, but ineffective against algae fungi. It is used to prevent and control wheat fusarium head blight, rice sheath blight, rice blast, small grain sclerotinia, and many fruit tree and vegetable diseases such as powdery mildew, anthracnose, and black spot. Spray with 750-1000 times of 50% wettable powder. Seedling treatment can prevent and control smut of cereal crops, wilt of melons and tomatoes, etc. In addition, it can also be used for mildew prevention in industries such as papermaking, textiles, leather, and rubber.
