(E)-Ferulicacid causes phosphorylation of β-catenin, leading to proteasomal degradation, increasing the expression of the pro-apoptotic factor Bax and reducing the expression of the pro-survival factor survivin. (E)-Ferulicacid can effectively remove reactive oxygen species (ROS) and inhibit lipid peroxidation. (E)-Ferulicacid exerts anti-proliferative and anti-migratory effects in the human lung cancer cell line H1299.
