N-bromosuccinimide, also known as N-bromosuccinimide, is an important brominating agent in organic synthesis. It is used in the free radical bromination of allyl and benzyl groups; electrophilic bromination of ketones, aromatic compounds or heterocyclic compounds, and addition reactions of olefins; it is also widely used as a catalyst, oxidant, etc. It is a commonly used bromination reagent in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
