Introduction:
6-Methylnicotinate methyl ester is a pharmaceutical intermediate, which can be prepared by first preparing 6-methylnicotinic acid chloride from 6-methylnicotinic acid as a raw material, and then reacting with methanol to obtain it. Literature reports that it can be used to prepare the antibacterial compound 3-(6-methylpyridin-3-yl)-4-[(4-methoxypheny)methyleneamino]-1H-1,2,4-triazole-5(4H)-thione and 2-methyl-5-vinylpyridine, which has a wide range of application value in the research and development of new organic materials and new drugs.
Uses:
6-Methylnicotinate is used as a D-amino acid oxidase and D-aspartate oxidase inhibitor to treat central nervous system diseases. 6-Methylnicotinate is a pyridine derivative, an intermediate in organic synthesis, and can be used to synthesize etoricoxib API.
