Introduction:

At room temperature, zinc sulfate heptahydrate is white granules or powder, orthorhombic crystals, astringent, and a commonly used astringent. It will weather in dry air. It loses one molecule of crystal water when heated to 30°C, loses six molecules of crystal water at 100°C, loses seven molecules of crystal water at 280°C, and decomposes into zinc oxide and sulfur trioxide at 767°C.
