Monomer N,N'-Methylenebisacrylamide MBA CAS 110-26-9 Photosensitive Nylon Plate Crosslinker

Photopolymer printing plates and photosensitive nylon coatings depend on a crosslinker that reacts quickly under UV, produces a uniform network and does not leave unreacted residue that fogs the image. MBA satisfies all three requirements because its two terminal double bonds sit at opposite ends of a short, rigid molecule, so the network forms evenly and the exposed areas develop cleanly in aqueous solvent.

Our printing plate grade is recrystallised to remove oligomers and metal traces that otherwise cause haze or inhibit curing, and each batch is checked for optical clarity in solution and for gel fraction after a standardised exposure. Plate makers and coating formulators use it to control relief depth and dot gain on flexographic and letterpress plates as well as on photoresist films for PCB imaging.

• Fast cure response: gel fraction above 90% after a standard 60 second UV exposure with common photoinitiators

• Low insoluble residue: fewer coating defects and fewer pinholes in photosensitive nylon layers
• Consistent lot to lot reactivity: exposure time does not need re-qualification on every delivery

Main uses are photosensitive nylon and photopolymer printing plates for flexographic and letterpress work, photoresist coatings for PCB and display imaging, UV cured coatings where a crosslinked film is needed, and holographic or optical recording media that require a highly uniform network.

Because exposure response depends on photoinitiator and lamp spectrum, we supply a reactivity data sheet describing gel fraction against exposure time for a standard formulation. Customers can send their resin system for a compatibility check before committing to production quantities.

The Certificate of Analysis records assay, moisture, optical clarity, gel fraction after standard exposure and total metal ion content. A retained sample from each lot is stored for 24 months so any imaging issue can be traced back to the exact raw material delivery.

We warrant the product for 12 months from shipment when stored away from light and moisture. Material that fails the agreed specification is replaced or credited after joint verification, including comparison against the retained sample.

Packing is 1 kg in a light blocking aluminium foil bag with desiccant, five bags per carton, or 25 kg in a fibre drum with double PE liner. All packs are opaque to prevent premature reaction during transport and storage.

Orders leave within 5 to 8 working days by air or express for small volumes, and by sea for drum quantities. Documentation includes packing list, COA, MSDS and the reactivity data sheet.
