Cold Water Soluble ARA Powder 25% CAS 506-32-1 Beverage Grade Arachidonic Acid

Beverage applications expose a functional lipid to the hardest conditions in food processing: high water activity, dissolved minerals, pasteurisation heat and months of ambient storage in a clear bottle. This 25 percent ARA powder (CAS 506-32-1) is built for that environment, using a high substitution OSA starch plus a protective protein and antioxidant system that dissolves completely at room temperature and holds the lipid in a stable micro emulsion.

The result is a clear to slightly opalescent solution with no oil ring at the surface and no sediment after storage, which is what allows an ARA claim to sit on a beverage label without a visible quality compromise. Higher loading than a standard infant grade is possible because the wall system is optimised for dispersibility rather than for dry blend flow.

Designed for ready to drink beverages, concentrated shots, stick packs, oral nutritional supplements and fortified waters aimed at pregnancy, infant follow-on and cognitive support positioning. Typical use is 100 to 300 mg of powder per serving, delivering 25 to 75 mg of ARA.

The powder is dissolved in the water phase before the final pasteurisation step and should be added after minerals and acids to avoid localised precipitation. For clear beverages a 0.2 micron polish filtration is recommended after dissolution. Our application note includes a stability protocol covering 12 weeks at 30 degrees C and 4 weeks at 40 degrees C.

Supplied in 1 kg foil bags with desiccant, 5 kg cartons and 20 kg fibre drums with double PE liner, all nitrogen flushed. Packaging is moisture barrier laminate to protect the powder during humid season transport.

Store below 25 degrees C in a dry place away from light and strong odours. Deliveries leave within 7 to 15 working days; for beverage projects we can supply pilot quantities of 1 to 5 kg to support trial batches before scale up.

Every batch ships with a Certificate of Analysis covering ARA content, solubility and appearance of a 2 percent solution, peroxide value, moisture, pH, heavy metals and microbiological counts. Retention samples are stored for 18 months.

Documentation includes the specification sheet, allergen and non GMO statements, a beverage stability summary and a HACCP based food safety declaration. Customised antioxidant systems and organic certified versions can be quoted separately.
