Single Cell Oil ARA 45% CAS 506-32-1 Fermentation Grade Omega-6 Concentrate Liquid

For supplement manufacturers the dose per capsule is the constraint: a softgel holds roughly 500 mg of fill, so the potency of the ARA oil decides whether the label claim is reachable in one or two capsules. This single cell oil is concentrated to 45 percent ARA of total fatty acids, produced by fermentation of Mortierella alpina and then molecularly distilled to remove the saturated fat fraction that dilutes standard oils.

Concentration has a cost in stability, because the more polyunsaturated fatty acid a triglyceride carries the faster it oxidises. We compensate by distilling under high vacuum at low temperature, adding a mixed tocopherol antioxidant at the refinery stage, and nitrogen blanketing every drum. The result is a high potency oil that still meets a peroxide value of 2 meq/kg at release and stays within specification after 24 months at -18 degrees C.

Used in softgel capsules, two piece capsules filled with oil, emulsion based supplement drinks and oil blends for cognitive, maternal and sports nutrition positioning. A 500 mg softgel of this oil delivers approximately 200 mg of ARA, which comfortably supports common supplement claims.

Encapsulation should be carried out with minimal headspace and a nitrogen blanket on the hopper, and the finished capsules benefit from an enteric or HPMC shell where the target market is warm and humid. Packing is 1 kg amber glass bottle for laboratory and pilot work, 5 kg plastic drum for encapsulation trials, and 20 kg iron drum with food grade liner for production, all nitrogen blanketed and sealed. Each container is labelled with lot number, ARA content, peroxide value at release and storage instruction.

Store at -18 degrees C for long term holding; the oil can be held at 2 to 8 degrees C for up to three months without specification drift. Warm to 40 degrees C and mix before dispensing. Shipments leave within 7 to 15 working days under temperature control.

A Certificate of Analysis accompanies each lot with the full fatty acid profile by GC, peroxide value, anisidine value, acid value, moisture, insoluble impurities and heavy metals. A retention sample of 200 g is held at -18 degrees C for 24 months.
