Water Dispersible ARA Emulsion 15% CAS 506-32-1 Liquid Arachidonic Acid Concentrate

Powders need a dry blending line and oils need homogenisation; a ready made emulsion needs neither. This 15 percent ARA emulsion (CAS 506-32-1) is a pourable, oil in water concentrate stabilised with a food approved emulsifier system, so a liquid dairy, clinical nutrition or supplement plant can dose it directly into the aqueous phase and obtain a stable, uniform dispersion with ordinary stirring.

It is designed for producers who want to add ARA without investing in high pressure homogenisation or in a spray drying tower. The droplet size is already controlled during manufacture, the emulsion is protected with tocopherol and nitrogen, and the product is specified on ARA content, pH, droplet size and stability after centrifugation so a customer can rely on the same behaviour in every drum.

Suited to UHT and pasteurised milks, clinical and enteral nutrition, liquid supplements in bottles or sachets, and fermented dairy where a uniform lipid distribution is required. Typical addition is 0.5 to 2 percent of the finished product, delivering 75 to 300 mg ARA per serving.

Dose the emulsion into the aqueous phase at 40 to 50 degrees C with moderate agitation before homogenisation and sterilisation; do not add to acidified phases below pH 4.5 without a stabiliser adjustment. Our application note describes a validated UHT protocol and 6 month stability data at 25 and 30 degrees C.

Packed in 5 kg plastic drums for trials and 20 kg iron drums with food grade liner for production, nitrogen blanketed and light protected. Drums are labelled with lot number, ARA content, droplet size at release and storage temperature.

Keep at 2 to 8 degrees C and use within four weeks of opening; the emulsion should not be frozen because freezing breaks the droplet structure irreversibly. Shipments leave within 7 to 15 working days under temperature control with COA and specification attached.

Each lot is released with a Certificate of Analysis covering ARA content, appearance, droplet size, pH, centrifugation stability, peroxide value on the oil basis, dry matter, heavy metals and microbiological counts. A retention sample is kept at 2 to 8 degrees C for 12 months.

We supply the specification sheet, allergen and non GMO statements, a HACCP based food safety declaration and a UHT stability summary. Custom ARA loadings between 5 and 20 percent can be developed for volume projects.
