Tonnage users of 2-chlorobenzaldehyde (CAS 89-98-5) buy on two criteria: the delivered cost per tonne and the assurance that the next container is the same material as the last. This bulk industrial grade is produced in campaign runs of several tonnes, blended in a holding tank to a single specification, and drummed or filled into IBC under nitrogen, so a customer receives material from one homogeneous blend rather than from consecutive reactor batches.

The specification is set at 99.0 percent assay with practical limits on free acid and water, which is what most large scale condensation and brightener processes actually require. Customers running a tighter process can be supplied from the same campaign in a higher grade, and we can reserve a fixed monthly allocation so that production planning is not exposed to spot market volatility.

Supplied to producers of zinc plating brightener concentrates, to dye and pigment plants, to agrochemical and pharmaceutical intermediate manufacturers, and to traders who require a consistent bulk specification with a fixed monthly volume.

For bulk storage the customer should provide a nitrogen blanketed tank with a dry breather; the aldehyde should not be stored above 30 degrees C for extended periods. Standard packing is 250 kg iron drums with phenolic epoxy lining, 1000 kg IBC tanks, and ISO tank containers for shipments above 20 tonnes. All packaging is nitrogen blanketed, sealed and labelled with lot number, blend number, assay and production date.

Store below 30 degrees C in a cool, dry, ventilated area away from oxidisers and ignition sources. The product is an irritant and a lachrymator; unloading requires suitable PPE and ventilation. Container shipments leave Shanghai within 15 to 20 days of order confirmation.

Each blend is released with a Certificate of Analysis reporting assay, isomer content, free acid, water, colour and density, with the GC chromatogram of the blend attached. A retention sample of 500 g per blend is stored for 18 months.

We supply the GHS safety data sheet, a blend traceability statement, and a logistical pack including tank preparation and unloading instructions. Third party pre shipment inspection by SGS or Bureau Veritas can be arranged at the buyer's request.
