High Purity Valerophenone CAS 1009-14-9 99.9% Electronic Grade Colorless Liquid

Photonic and organic electronic intermediates are unforgiving about traces: a few ppm of a metal ion quenches emission, and a fraction of a percent of a higher boiling impurity becomes a defect in a deposited film. This 99.9 percent grade of valerophenone (CAS 1009-14-9) is produced by two stage vacuum distillation with the middle cut collected separately, then filtered and filled under argon into amber glass or lined drums.

The specification extends beyond the usual assay and water limits. Trace metals are controlled at a total below 10 ppm, residue on evaporation is held under 0.02 percent, and the UV transmittance of a standard solution is reported per lot so an optical application can be assessed before purchase rather than after a failed deposition run.

Used in the preparation of organic electronic and photonic intermediates, in photochemical studies requiring a clean hydrogen abstractor, and in precision organic synthesis where a trace impurity would be unacceptable in the final device or measurement.

Dispense under inert gas and return any unused portion to a sealed, blanketed container; the product should not be left open in a fume hood for extended periods. Our technical note gives a dispensing protocol and the recommended maximum hold time in a reactor under nitrogen.

Packed in 1 kg amber glass bottles for laboratory and pilot work, 5 kg lined cans for small scale production and 25 kg plastic drums argon blanketed for bulk. Labels record lot number, assay, trace metal report reference and the UV data sheet reference.

Store between 5 and 25 degrees C, protected from light, under inert gas where long storage is expected. Shipments leave within 7 to 15 working days; small volumes travel by air in foam lined cartons.

Each lot ships with a Certificate of Analysis plus the GC chromatogram, the trace metals report and the UV transmittance data. A 100 g retention sample is held under argon for 24 months.
