Inhibited 1-Bromo-5-Fluoropentane CAS 407-97-6 Stabilised Sea Freight Grade

Six weeks in a container through the tropics is a harder test than three weeks in a warehouse. Halogenated liquids pick up colour in that heat through slow elimination and trace metal catalysed decomposition, and buyers who qualified a water-white sample sometimes open an amber drum.

We fill this grade with a small amount of inhibitor, pad the drum with nitrogen and use lined steel rather than plastic because the liner is a better oxygen barrier. The assay matches the bulk grade; what changes is how long it stays usable after it lands.

Keep the drum closed between uses and re-blanket if you have nitrogen on the plant. If your initiator is sensitive to phenolic inhibitors, strip it with a short alumina plug before use.

25 kg plastic drum for trials, 200 kg lined steel drum for production, both nitrogen padded and tamper sealed. Labels show batch, assay, inhibitor level, colour at dispatch and date.

Store below 30 degrees C in a ventilated flammable goods store. Container loads ship from Shanghai in 15 to 20 days; LCL for one or two drums.
