Inleiding:
Kleurloze tot lichtgele vloeistof. De relatieve dichtheid is 0,926-0,933, de brekingsindex is 1,4970-1,5020, het vlampunt ligt boven 100 ℃ en het heeft een zachte, zoete en langdurige viooltjesgeur met houtachtige en bijenwasgeuren, vergelijkbaar met irissen, met een lichte ambergeur, evenals osmanthus- en acacia-achtige aroma's. Het aroma is zacht en langdurig.
Gebruik:
Het wordt gebruikt om viooltjes-, osmanthus-, acacia- en mimosa-essences te mengen, en is ook een veelgebruikte geurstof in lelie- en parfumtypes, plain heart orchid, ambergris, amber, musk en oosterse chemischebook geurtypes. Kan harmoniseren met vele bloemen- en houtachtige geuren en kan worden gebruikt als mengmiddel, modifier en basisgeurstof. Het kan ook worden gebruikt in eetbare essences.
