Dagelijkse polymerisatiekatalysator van het chemicaliënnatrium 2-ethylhexanoate Cas 19766-89-3
Invoering:
Natriumisooctanoaat bestaat bij kamertemperatuur als een vaste stof, met een dichtheid van ongeveer 1,089–1,098 g/ml en een smeltpunt hoger dan 300 °C. Het wordt geproduceerd door octanol te laten reageren met vaste natronloog. Voor opslag afgesloten op een koele, droge plaats bewaren en contact met oxidatiemiddelen vermijden.
Gebruik:
Hoofdzakelijk gebruikt bij de synthese van isooctaanzuur en zijn calcium- en magnesiumzouten. Dient ook als zoutvormend middel in farmaceutische producten, als katalysator voor droogmiddelen in verven, als stabilisator voor polymeren, als verknopingsmiddel, als verdikkingsmiddel voor oliën en als additief voor energiebesparing bij stookolie.
