Mangaan dinatrium EDTA trihydraat (EDTA-Mn) is een gechelateerd sporenelementen voedingssupplement geleverd als een wit tot roze poeder. Het wordt veel gebruikt als een stabiele, in water oplosbare bron van mangaan in agrarische, nutritionele en industriële toepassingen.
Belangrijkste Toepassingen
- Fungeert als een metaalchelerende verbinding op basis van ethylenediaminetetraazijnzuur mangaan dinatriumzout hydraat.
- Ondersteunt complexometrische analyse, inclusief de bepaling van kobalt met EDTA door aluminium te maskeren.
- Bestudeerd in mangaan-EDTA en mangaan-EGT-1 complexen, waarbij de &-stikstofcoördinatie van EDTA een zeer anisotroop spectrum voor Mn(II) produceert.
- Lipofiele derivaten van mangaan EDTA chelaten, wanneer opgenomen in liposomen, verlenen de grootste hepatische verbetering per micromol metaalion en vertonen gunstige klaringkinetiek.
