Cetrimoniumchlorid, auch bekannt als Hexadecyltrimethylammoniumchlorid, ist ein weißes kristallines Pulver. Es ist leicht löslich in Isopropylalkohol und Wasser. Es erzeugt beim Schütteln viel Schaum. Es hat eine gute Verträglichkeit mit kationischen, nichtionischen und amphoteren Tensiden. Es besitzt eine gute chemische Stabilität und ist beständig gegen Hitze, Licht, Druck, starke Säuren und Laugen. Es hat ausgezeichnete Penetrations-, Weichmachungs-, Emulgierungs-, Antistatik-, biologische Abbaubarkeit und bakterizide Eigenschaften.

 

Verwendungen:

 

Cetrimoniumchlorid wird zur Emulgierung von Silikonöl, als Emulgator für Haarspülungen, als Faserweichmacher und Antistatikmittel verwendet. Es kann zum Weichmachen und Isolieren von Papier verwendet werden. Es wird als Korrosionsinhibitor in der Beizindustrie eingesetzt. Es wird in der Erdölindustrie verwendet, um die Innenkorrosion von Pipelines und Säurewasseraufbereitungssystemen zu verhindern.
