ギムザ染色液は、染料中間体および分析試薬として使用できます。インドール、スカトール、尿素ブルー、トリプトファン、麦角アルカロイドの測定に使用され、猩紅熱の血清発疹を区別するためにも使用されます。染料としては、感圧性染料や感熱性染料の合成に使用できます。
用途:
1. 原生動物染色剤として使用され、特にマラリア原虫などの血液および血液原生動物の染色に適しています。
2. マラリア原虫やトリパノソーマなどの寄生原生動物を検査するための血液塗抹標本の作成に使用できます。病原性スピロヘータ（レプトスピラ、ボレリアなど）、Chemicalbookウイルス、リケッチア、ペルオキシダーゼ、染色体などを染色できます。また、組織培養研究や試薬にも使用できます。細胞培養グレードは、染色体染色や血小板、赤血球、白血球などの細胞型の形態学的分化に使用されます。
