Introduction:
Giemsa stain can be used as a dye intermediate and analytical reagent. It is used to determine indole, skatole, urea blue, tryptophan and ergot alkaloids, and is also used to distinguish serum eruptions from scarlet fever. In terms of dyes, it can be used to synthesize pressure-sensitive and heat-sensitive dyes.
Uses:
1. Used as a protozoan stain, especially suitable for staining blood and blood protozoa such as Plasmodium.
