مقدمه:
گزانتین (به انگلیسی: xanthine)، که با نام های 3،7-دی هیدرو-1H-پورین-2،6-دیون و 2،6-دی هیدروکسی پورین در زبان چینی نیز شناخته می شود، یک باز پورین است که به طور گسترده در اندام ها و مایعات بدن انسان و سایر موجودات زنده توزیع شده است. این ماده اغلب به عنوان یک محرک خفیف و گشادکننده برونش استفاده می شود، به ویژه برای درمان علائم آسم. محرک های خفیف رایج مانند کافئین، تئوفیلین و تئوبرومین (که عمدتاً در شکلات یافت می شود) از گزانتین مشتق شده اند. گزانتین همچنین محصولی از متابولیسم پورین است و تحت تأثیر آنزیم گزانتین اکسیداز به اسید اوریک تبدیل می شود.
موارد استفاده:
