When a fluorinated spacer goes into a material that has to stay colourless or carry a charge cleanly, trace metals from the reactor become the problem. Iron at a few ppm is enough to catalyse slow decomposition and discolouration, and it will not show up on a GC assay at all. This grade is distilled in glass-lined and PTFE-lined equipment, packaged without iron contact, and tested for total metals by ICP. Colour is held at APHA 10 and the water at 50 ppm, so it can go into a
