Introduction:

Vinyltrimethoxysilane is a colorless transparent liquid, soluble in a variety of organic solvents, insoluble in water with a pH of 7, but soluble in water with a pH of 3.0-3.5. Vinyltrimethoxysilane is a colorless transparent liquid with an ester taste. Boiling point 123°C, flash point 25°C. Relative density 0.89. Refractive index 1.40 (25°C). Soluble in ethanol, isopropanol, benzene, toluene and gasoline, insoluble in water; mixed with an acid solution to hydrolyze and dissolve in water. Slowly hydrolyzes in the air when encountering water vapor to generate the corresponding silanol.

Uses:

1. Vinyl trimethoxysilane is an important crosslinking agent for crosslinked polyethylene. Compared with the general peroxide crosslinking and radiation crosslinking, its crosslinking process has the characteristics of simple equipment, low investment, easy control, wide range of polyethylene density, suitable for the production of fan-shaped wire cores of special shapes, and high extrusion speed. Since silane crosslinked polyethylene has excellent electrical properties, good heat resistance and stress cracking resistance, this product is widely used in the manufacture of wires, insulation and sheathing materials.
2. The crosslinked polyethylene made by this product as a crosslinking agent has good resistance to aromatics, oil, stress cracking, high mechanical strength, good heat resistance, etc., and can be used for 50 years at 80°C. It can be used for the anti-corrosion and thermal insulation outer protective layer of oil, natural gas and coal gas pipelines and the anti-corrosion and thermal insulation heat shrink sleeve patching materials matched therewith.
3. It can improve and enhance the electrical and thermal conductivity and increase the storage period of room temperature silicone rubber.
