Einführung:
10-Undecylensäure wird auch als Undecylensäure bezeichnet. 10-Undecylensäure ist eine blassgelbe bis gelbe Flüssigkeit, die beim Abkühlen zu einer milchig-weißen kristallinen Masse wird; sie hat einen besonderen Geruch. Sie kann nach Belieben mit Ethanol, Chloroform, Ether, Fettöl oder flüchtigem Öl gemischt werden und ist in Wasser fast unlöslich. Es ist eine glänzende, farblose Flüssigkeit mit einem besonderen fruchtigen Aroma. Schmelzpunkt 24,5 °C, Siedepunkt 275 °C (100 kPa), 165 °C (2,0 kPa), 137 °C (0,267 kPa), relative Dichte 0,4075 (25/4 °C), Brechungsindex 1,4464, Flammpunkt 148 °C. Sie ist in Wasser leicht löslich, in Ethanol und Ether löslich.
Verwendungen:
Undecylensäure ist ein wichtiger Rohstoff für synthetische Duftstoffe, wie z. B. der Duftstoff γ-Undecalacton (auch bekannt als Pfirsichaldehyd), Polycyclopentadecalacton, Moschusketon, Nonanal und Nonanol usw. Sie ist auch ein Antimykotikum zur Behandlung von Hautpilzerkrankungen (Zubereitung von Fußpilzspiritus usw.).
