Introduction:

 

10-Undecylenic Acid is also called undecylenic acid. 10-Undecylenic Acid is a pale yellow to yellow liquid, which becomes a milky white crystalline mass when cooled; it has a special odor. It can be mixed with ethanol, chloroform, ethe, fatty oil or volatile oil at will, and is almost insoluble in water. It is a glossy colorless liquid with a special fruity aroma. Melting point 24.5℃, boiling point 275℃ (100kPa), 165℃ (2.0kPa), 137℃ (0.267kPa), relative density 0.4075 (25/4℃), refractive index 1.4464, flash point 148℃. It is slightly soluble in water, soluble in ethanol and ethe.

 

 

Uses:

 

Undecylenic acid is an important raw material for synthetic fragrances, such as fragrance γ-undecalactone (also known as peach aldehyde), polycyclopentadecalactone, musk ketone, nonanal and nonanol, etc. It is also an antifungal drug used to treat skin fungal diseases (preparation of athlete's foot spirit, etc.).
