ビスフェノールAFは、ヘキサフルオロビスフェノールA、2,2-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)ヘキサフルオロプロパン、2,2-ビス(4-ヒドロキシフェニル)ヘキサフルオロプロパンなどとも呼ばれ、BPAFと略されます。四塩化炭素にはわずかに溶け、水には溶けにくく、エタノール、アセトン、エーテル、トルエン、強アルカリ溶液などの有機溶媒には容易に溶けます。ビスフェノールAFは510℃に加熱すると分解して燃焼します。
用途:
ビスフェノールAFは、主にフッ素ゴムの加硫剤（架橋剤）として使用され、フッ素ゴムの70％以上がビスフェノールAF加硫システムを採用しています。ビスフェノールAFは、フッ素化ポリアミド（イミド）、フッ素化ポリエステル、フッ素化ポリアリールエーテル、フッ素化ポリエーテルケトン、フッ素化ポリカーボネート、フッ素化エポキシ樹脂、フッ素化ポリウレタンなどのフッ素化ポリマーを合成するためのモノマーとして使用でき、ガス分離膜、プロトン交換膜、誘電体コーティング、光ファイバーシース、光電管基板、接着剤などに使用され、マイクロエレクトロニクス、燃料電池、光学、宇宙技術などの分野で広く使用されています。
