Bisphenol AF terutama digunakan sebagai agen vulkanisasi (agen penyambungan silang) untuk karet fluor, dan lebih dari 70% karet fluor mengadopsi sistem vulkanisasi bisphenol AF.Bisphenol AF dapat digunakan sebagai monomer untuk mensintesis poliamida fluorida (imida), poliester fluorinasi, poliarileter fluorinasi, polietherketon fluorinasi, polikarbonat fluorinasi, resin epoksi fluorinasi, poliuretan fluorinasi dan polimer fluorinasi lainnya,yang digunakan sebagai membran pemisahan gas, membran pertukaran proton, lapisan dielektrik, lapisan serat optik, substrat tabung fotoelektrik, perekat, dll. dan banyak digunakan dalam mikroelektronika, sel bahan bakar, optik,teknologi ruang angkasa dan bidang lainnya.
