Ürün Tanımı
Inorganic Chemicals Ammonium Thiocyanate Cas 1762-95-4 Herbicides And Defoliants
Introduction:
Ammonium thiocyanate, also known as ammonium thiocyanate or ammonium thiocyanate cyanide, is a colorless, lustrous monoclinic plate- or columnar crystal with the chemical formula NH4SCN and a molecular weight of 76.12. It forms rhombic crystals at 92℃. Its melting point is 147℃ (decomposes at 170℃), relative density is 1.3057, and refractive index is 1.685. It is readily soluble in water, exhibiting an endothermic dissolution reaction. It is soluble in ethanol, alkali metal hydroxides, aceton, pyridine, and liquid sulfur dioxide, but sparingly soluble in chloroform (trichloromethane). The solution turns red under sunlight. It reacts with iron salts to form blood-red ferric thiocyanate, which can be quantitatively determined by colorimetric comparison with standard solutions. Heating to approximately 140℃ forms thiourea. It decomposes at 176℃ into ammonia, carbon disulfide, and hydrogen sulfide. It is hygroscopic in air and should be stored in sealed containers, away from acids.
Uses:

Ammonium thiocyanate is an auxiliary raw material in the manufacture of hydrogen peroxide. It is used as a polymerization catalyst in dyes and organic synthesis. It is used in the separation of pesticides and antibiotics, and as an analytical reagent. It is also a raw material for the manufacture of cyanides, ferrocyanides, and thiourea. Furthermore, it is used in zinc coating, as a dyeing and printing dispersing agent, and as an electroplating additive.
