암모늄 티오시아나트, 암모늄 티오시아나트 또는 암모늄 티오시아나트 사이안이드로도 알려진 무색,광택이 나는 단일 클린적 판 또는 기둥형 결정, 화학 공식을 가진 NH4SCN, 분자량 76.1292°C에서 롬브 결정을 형성한다. 녹는점은 147°C (170°C에서 분해), 상대 밀도는 1이다.3057, 그리고 굴절률은 1입니다.685물에서 쉽게 녹아 내열 해소 반응을 나타냅니다. 에탄올, 알칼리 금속 하이드록시드, 아세톤, 피리딘 및 액체 황 이산화,그러나 클로로포름 (트리클로로메탄) 에 희미하게 녹는용액은 햇빛 아래에서 빨강색으로 변하고, 철 염소와 반응하여 혈액색의 철 티오시아나트를 형성하며, 이는 표준 용액과의 색소 측정 비교로 정량적으로 결정될 수 있다.약 140°C까지 가열하면 티우레아가 형성됩니다.176°C에서 암모니아, 이산화탄소 디섬유, 수소황화로 분해된다. 공기 상에서 수소 관측이 가능하며 산으로부터 멀리 밀폐된 용기에 보관해야 한다.
