Một chất lỏng không màu, dầu, dễ cháy, kết tinh thành tinh thể trắng dưới điểm đông lạnh. Điểm nóng chảy 24 °C (điểm đông lạnh 25,15 °C), điểm sôi 161,10 °C, mật độ tương đối 0.9493 (20/4°C), chỉ số khúc xạ 1.4648, điểm cháy (chén mở) 67,2 °C, độ nhớt (30 °C) 41,067 mPa·s. Trộn với các dung môi hữu cơ như ethanol, ethyl acetate và dầu hạt lanh; hòa tan nhẹ trong nước.Giới hạn nổ trong hỗn hợp không khí: 1,52% ∼ 11,1% (theo khối lượng).
Sử dụng:
Cyclohexanol là một nguyên liệu hóa học quan trọng, chủ yếu được sử dụng trong sản xuất axit adipic, hexamethylenediamine, cyclohexanone, caprolactam.Nó cũng phục vụ như một chất ổn định trong các công thức xà phòngNgoài ra, nó hoạt động như một dung môi cho cao su, nhựa, nitrocellulose, xà phòng kim loại, dầu, este và ether;như một chất phụ gia trong lớp phủ; và như một chất khử mỡ, chất giải phóng, dung môi giặt khô và chất đánh bóng cho da.
