Milde acnebehandeling / exfoliatie: zeer lipofiel, doordringt het stratum corneum en levert salicylzuur op een langdurige manier,waardoor het minder irriterend is en geschikt is voor gevoelige huid.
Zonnebrandcrèmeversterker: in combinatie met UVB/UVA-filters verhoogt het de SPF/PA-classificaties terwijl het de benodigde hoeveelheid zonnebrandcrème vermindert en irritatie minimaliseert.
2.Fragrance Fixative: zorgt voor langdurige geurbehoud voor parfums, crèmes en producten voor persoonlijke verzorging.

Gebruikt als voorloper voor de synthese van reumatische en ontstekingsremmende geneesmiddelen, verbetering van de wateroplosbaarheid en de doorlaatbaarheid van de huid.
